Dr. Wade Logan
With a passion for quality dentistry and a heartfelt commitment to his patients, Dr. Wade Logan has been a trusted name in Bakersfield dental care for over two decades. As a general dentist, Dr. Logan is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming environment where every patient feels respected, cared for, and confident in their smile.
Dr. Logan began his journey in dentistry after being inspired by his father, an orthodontist in Glendora, California. While he admired the specialized nature of orthodontics, he was drawn to general dentistry for its ability to serve entire families and build lasting relationships through comprehensive care. Dr. Logan earned his undergraduate degree from San Diego State University and completed his dental education at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He completed a general practice residency at the University Medical Center in Fresno.
Dr. Logan has remained committed to delivering exceptional dental experiences grounded in compassion, teamwork, and clinical excellence. His favorite aspects of dentistry are caring for people, building trust, and working alongside a team that shares his patient-first philosophy.
Outside the office, Dr. Logan enjoys spending time outdoors—hunting, fishing, and tending to his (many) fruit trees. He's also a movie enthusiast who appreciates all genres and enjoys kicking back with a great film.

Isabelle
Registered Dental Hygienist/Orthodontic Assistant
Isabelle has over 10 years of experience in the dental field. She began her career as an orthodontic assistant, where she developed a strong foundation for patient care and dental procedures. Her passion for oral health and commitment to improving patients’ smiles led her to pursue further education and obtain a license as a dental hygienist. Isabelle is known for her gentle approach and thoroughness, ensuring that her patients feel comfortable and informed during their hygiene visits.
When not caring for patients, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their dogs. She believes that a healthy work-life balance is essential, and her family plays a significant role. Whether it’s a weekend adventure or simply relaxing at home, Isabelle cherishes the moments spent with her loved ones.
Rebecca
Registered Dental Hygienist
Rebecca is a Kern County native and a proud registered dental hygienist with 19 years of experience caring for smiles. She believes in combining gentle, thorough clinical care with a warm, personal touch. Every day, she strives to make her patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their oral health.
She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two beautiful daughters. Becca loves camping, exploring the mountains, and soaking up the sun at the beach. Her family and the outdoors bring her the greatest joy.
Wendi
Registered Dental Assistant Expanded Functions II Orthodontic Assistant
Wendi is a seasoned dental professional with over 14 years of experience in the field. She began her career in the orthodontic department, where she developed a keen eye for detail and an interest in helping patients achieve great smiles. She’s also taken extensive course training and got her Orthodontic Assistant certificate, or OA, from the Dental Board.
After seven years in orthodontics, Wendi changed gears and started to work in general dentistry. After a few years working chairside in general dentistry, she decided to get her Expanded Functional license in 2021. This certification allows her to perform many advanced dental functions, such as placing fillings, taking impressions for crowns and seating them, and many other procedures the dental board won’t allow a Registered Dental Assistant to do. She’s a perfectionist and puts patient care and comfort first.
Outside of work, Wendi enjoys spending time with her family. She loves the outdoors and nature. With her husband, son, and dogs, she loves hiking, camping, and anything with fresh air. As much as she loves the technical aspects of dentistry, she is great at getting to know her patients personally and taking care of their needs.
Bentlee
Registered Dental Assistant/Clinical Manager
Bentlee is an experienced registered dental assistant (RDA) with over eight years of chairside experience in dentistry. She’s been in the field for 12 years and has a deep passion for her work. Bentlee has a wide variety of skills that help with patient care, including assisting in a wide variety of dental procedures, patient education, and managing dental office operations. She is respected by the doctor and her team for her patient-first focus.
When she’s not at work, Bentlee leads an active and vibrant lifestyle. She loves going to the gym, prioritizing fitness and wellness to help her lead a balanced, fulfilling life. She also loves spending time with her nieces and nephews and her dog. Bentlee's always willing to help her fellow employees and go the extra mile for all of her patients.
Brittnay
Front Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator
Brittnay is a seasoned dental professional with over seven years of experience in the field, following a career in the broader medical sector. Her extensive background has equipped her with a unique understanding of patient care. Her warm and compassionate approach ensures each patient feels comfortable and valued. She believes that a successful dental practice is built on trust in relationships, both with patients and her coworkers.
When not at work, Brittnay is a proud mother of four athletic boys who keep her active and engaged. She has been married for 17 years and has cultivated a strong partnership built on love, respect, and shared goals. She’s proud of her contributions in the dental field and looks forward to continuing to positively impact the lives of her patients and her family for many years.
Carina
Orthodontic Assistant/Purchasing Manager
Carina is a dedicated orthodontic assistant passionate about helping patients achieve their ideal smiles. She got her orthodontic assistant permit in 2022, but prior to that, she was a chairside dental assistant doing general dentistry. This experience gives her a unique skill set and allows her to address problems and issues from a broader perspective. She is an enthusiastic team player who’s always willing to go the extra mile for the patient.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dogs. They love the outdoors, whether at the beach or playing a round of golf. She and her extended family share a strong passion for sports, especially cheering on the Oklahoma State wrestling team. Patients get to know their assistants throughout their treatment, so Carina’s personality and demeanor are the perfect fit for the department
Maria
Registered Dental Assistant
With over a decade of experience as a registered dental assistant since 2013, Maria has developed a passion for patient care, ensuring each visit is as comfortable and efficient as possible.
When she’s not helping patients, Maria is a busy mom to three active kids, all of whom play soccer. From managing family schedules to cheering from the sidelines, she knows the true meaning of multitasking. Whether balancing dental instruments or a soccer ball, Maria brings dedication, hard work, and a big heart to everything she does.
Kiara
Registered Dental Assistant
With 16 years of experience in the dental field, Kiara brings skill, dedication, and compassion to every patient she serves. She is a proud graduate of San Joaquin Valley College, where she earned her associate's degree in dental assisting. Over the years, she has accomplished many of her professional goals while also guiding and mentoring others as an educator, helping students achieve success in their own dental assisting careers.
As a registered dental assistant, Kiara is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where comfort and quality care are always the priority. Known for her warm smile and positive energy, she strives to brighten each patient’s day while supporting the entire dental team.
Kiara is committed to continuing her growth as a dental professional and staying current with advancements in the field. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, journaling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Braxton
Insurance Coordinator
Braxton has six years of experience in the medical field. She was a licensed pharmacy technician after training at the UEI, finishing at the top of her class. She then switched gears and entered the dental field. She has experience in customer service and insurance-related issues.
When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and her dogs. She loves to take them both on long daily walks. She also enjoys working out and considers the gym her haven.
Andres
Patient Coordinator
Andres is an experienced professional with over 11 years in the customer service and medical fields. He has developed a comprehensive skill set that allows him to excel in various roles, particularly in patient care and care coordination. Andres is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, and believes effective communication is the key to building trust and rapport. He’s passionate about leading patients through complicated issues with their insurance coverage. He takes pride in his ability to resolve conflict issues with a clever and energetic mindset.
In his spare time, Andres enjoys hiking, traveling, and volunteering at our local animal shelter. These activities not only provide him with a sense of fulfillment but also allow him to connect with nature and his community and meaningful ways.
Dr. Lukens
Dr. Lukens grew up in Bakersfield and graduated from high school in 1966. He began his interest in becoming a dentist while studying at Loma Linda University, La Sierra Campus, where he graduated in 1970. He continued his studies at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and graduated in 1974.
He married his college sweetheart, Kerry Berthelsen, in the summer of 1971. After graduating from dental school in 1974, he and his wife moved to Bakersfield, where he worked for two years as an associate dentist of Dr. James McCulloch. He built his first dental office in 1976 on 34th Street.
During that year, they welcomed their first child, Jennifer Ann. Michael Brandon followed in 1978. Their family was complete.
In 1983, Dr. Lukens built his second dental office at 3807 San Dimas Street and moved in December of that year. After over 30 years of dedication to his patients and community, Dr. Lukens decided to retire from private practice in 2025.
Dr. Lukens was elected President of the Kern County Dental Society from 1984 to 1985. It was his privilege to serve as Chairman of the Ethics Committee for many years. This included traveling to the California Dental Association headquarters in Sacramento yearly for meetings.
Some of his many hobbies included snow skiing trips during the winter months and water skiing and boating during the summer months. Some of his favorite times were spent dirt biking both here and in the desert with friends and family.
Their daughter, Jennifer, is married and lives in Napa, California, where she is an executive for a wine company. Their son, Michael, and his family live in Tennessee, where he is the Manager/Treasurer of It Is Written. He served as CFO of several hospitals, including Adventist Health here in Bakersfield, before moving to Tennessee. His grandson, Jonathan, is graduating from high school this June.
Dr. Lukens has made many great friends working at his dental office. His practice philosophy was to give every patient excellent clinical service, personal attention, and careful instructions to build respect and trust.
